Prof. Dr. Bundhit Eua-arporn

Professor Bundhit Eua-arporn is the President of Chulalongkorn University and Professor of Electrical Engineering. He is a member of APRU Steering Committee, and a former Executive President of Asian Universities Alliance (AUA). Professor Eua-arporn served as Dean of Faculty of Engineering and Director of Energy Research Institute, Chulalongkorn University. He has more than 25 years of experience in many large-scale projects related to electricity, natural gas, petroleum and renewable energy. He is a founder of Siam Innovation District, an innovation ecosystem in downtown Bangkok, Thailand established through partnerships of academia, government and industry to be a gateway and a platform to connect ASEAN and global innovation communities. Professor Eua-arporn is also a pioneer in education innovation setting up Chulalongkorn University’s Innovation Hub, MOOCs, and the School of Integrated Innovation offering the first bachelor’s degree of Arts and Sciences in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence in Thailand. Professor Eua-arporn holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Energy System from Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine and an M.Eng. and a B.Eng. from Chulalongkorn University.
